New mobile device identifies airborne allergens using deep learning
Here I got to write about an invention from Aydogan Ozcan and his research group that packs intense levels of cool science and creativity into a small package. Lasers! Holograms! Not one but two neural nets! Deep learning! All to identify and measure the microscopic biological jetsam floating around in the air. This is fascinating stuff.
And of course, as someone who suffers from allergies, I will be rooting for this technology to make its way to market.
